Visual Link Internet would like to take this opportunity to inform you about some enhancements that will be made to our email system in the coming weeks. We are excited to begin the next phase of our transition to our new Enhanced Visual Link email. This new partnership with Google gives you over 7 gigabytes of available storage, enhanced filtering and searching capabilities, greater security, the ability to keep an archive of all your email so you will never need to permanently delete messages again, and the reliability that the online world has come to expect from Google.

Staring on Tuesday October 7th our webmail system (http://webmail.visuallink.com) will be moving to the new G-Mail based webmail. The current webmail service will be moving to http://oldwebmail.visuallink.com so that you can retrieve your address book entries. All mail on the old webmail system has been copied to the new system and all new email has been delivered there as well since late May.

We are projecting that on Tuesday October 28th our current email system will be discontinued, and all mail will be available through the new system only. All customers who receive and send their mail with an email program such as Microsoft Outlook, Outlook Express, Windows Mail, Mozilla Thunderbird or Apple Mail will need to change their email settings before that time to ensure that their email will continue to work.

The settings change process should only take 5 to 10 minutes in most cases, and will only need to be done once per email address on each computer you use. We have created online instructions for the 2 most popular email clients Outlook Expressn (http://www.visuallink.com/oe-gmail) and Windows Mail for Vista (http://www.visuallink.com/vista-gmail) which will walk you through the process of changing your settings. You can find generic instructions for other mail programs in the help section in the upper right hand corner if you log in to the G-Mail Enhanced webmail system at http://email.visuallink.com.

If your password is less than 6 digits you MUST call our office at 540-754-1630 to choose a new password before your new email service will work. After office hours you may call the technical support line at 540-754-1566 to submit a password change request which will be implemented the following business day. We will be contacting you over the coming weeks to ensure that you have updated your passwords with us, but you may call us at any time to change your password. For security reasons, please DO NOT reply to this email with your new password choice.

Our technical support staff is available to assist you Monday through Friday from 9am until 9pm and Saturdays from 9am until 5pm at 540-754-1566. We recommend that all customers make the necessary changes as soon as possible to avoid delays in the event that they should need help. We are projecting very high call volumes and long wait times as the projected date approaches, so we recommend that customers make the switch as soon as possible. We are also reachable via email at support@visuallink.com which is monitored 7 days a week.

While we regret any inconvenience incurred with these changes, we are sure you will benefit greatly from the improvements that the new service has to offer.
