Note: Open Transport will not work with operating systems prior to 7.5.
Special Note: If you have Macintosh System 7.5.3, you will have Network Software Selector on your hard drive. This utility selects whether or not you wish to use Open Transport or the older MacTCP. You absolutely cannot have both MacTCP and Open Transport in your System Folder at the same time. If you choose to use Open Transport (recommended), the Network Software Selector will make MacTCP invisible. If you choose to use MacTCP, the Open Transport software will be disabled.
